CULTURAL CATALYST | SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR | COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL

With roots and upbringing in the Andean highlands, and now Copenhagen-based, I work within the intersection of the arts, human rights and the environment. I create cultural interventions, facilitate trainings, develop projects and I advise on visual- and immersive communications.

Throughout my life I have navigated through a variety of paths and endeavours in my birthplace and around the world, but my purpose hasn’t change: to advocate for human rights and environmental protection through education and creativity as catalysts for change.

In Germany, I initiated and co-founded an NGO that engaged with children, the arts and the environment in the Cloud Forests of Ecuador. In the Middle East, I engaged with refugees and carried out research on the potentialities of new media and the arts in times of conflict. And in Denmark, I supported the efforts of the worldwide movement to eradicate torture through creative advocacy and campaigning.

Given my own liberating experience with non-formal Education, I currently engage as a part-time teacher at Krogerup Højskole. Moreover, due of my own experience as a migrant, a woman and my active involvement with the refugee community, I volunteer on a regular basis with Women Refugee Route & MOVE. And I am an active member of Crossing Borders.

Other past collaborations include: The Ministry of Education Ecuador, The Mandela Foundation, CAMP & Norwegian People’s Aid. I speak fluent English, Spanish and German, advanced Danish, and basic French and Arabic.

Furthermore, I hold an MSc in Development and International Relations from Aalborg University. And my background is in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen and the University of Hamburg, with minor studies in Visual Communications from the Hochschüle für bildende Künste Hamburg (HfbK).
